About Us

Desi is the co-owner & President of CRS Medical Benefits. Her wealth of knowledge stems from her 25 years of experience in Healthcare before she moved to the “vendor” side of the system. She oversees the self pay screening and disability eligibility lines of business.

She worked her way up through the ranks from Unit Secretary to the Business Office Director at Triad before moving on to CRS Medical Benefits in 2009. Desi received a commendation during an audit by the CARF Certification Team for the safety program she created for the rehab unit.

Her wealth of knowledge and years of experience enables her to lead a team of professionals to provide excellent service to all of the CRS clients and their patients. With experience in registration, financial counseling, scheduling, billing, collections, nursing units, managed care contracts, physician practices, and Medicaid eligibility programs, it’s safe to say that Desi can do it all.

On top of her personal experience, her extensive network of major healthcare government agencies helps her consistently leverage those relationships for CRS clients.

Desi is also an active member of HFMA and holds the PAHM credential through AHIP.

Karina is the co-owner & Vice President of CRS Medical Benefits, and it’s easy to see why. With 35 years of experience in private practice and hospital settings, she’s seen it all. She oversees the utilization review, billing and denial management lines of business.

Her expertise really shines when it comes to optimizing revenue opportunities for CRS clients. She’s managed registration, cashiering, financial counselors, Medicaid billing & collections, managed care contract compliance, oversaw early out, collections, bad debt programs, and prepared business office in-service and education events.

She was recruited by CRS Medical Benefits in 1999 to oversee billing & collections and their utilization review programs. These years of experience have developed long-standing contacts and relationships with AHCA, DCF, DXC, eQ, and the multiple Medicaid Managed Care plans. Karina uses her wealth of knowledge and years of experience to leverage results for CRS clients.

Karina is also an active member of HFMA along with being certified as a CRCR through HFMA and holds the credentials of PAHM through AHIP.

Robert Aulds is an Executive Manager that oversees the staff for the Northwest Division that covers Florida and Georgia contracts. Starting his tenure at CRS Medical Benefits as a Medicaid Specialist, Robert has climbed the ranks to Executive Manager through 15 years of experience and front-line commitment.

After 10 years of law enforcement , Robert worked to help patients get the benefits they deserve by conducting home visits to get the background needed for Administrative Law Judges to make the right decision, the first time. His commitment to service is reflected in the fact that over 15+ years, he can count the amount of cases he’s lost on one hand.

Kaycee Humenik is an Executive Manager that oversees the staff for CRS Medical Benefits for the Florida Central Divisional contracts and also has over 24 years of Medicaid and Disability experience with the state and federal government. Her 10 years of commitment to quality control and strategic planning allows her to excel at implementing processes to increase productivity and revenue.

Under her management, the CRS team has maximized reimbursement for their clients and assisted in obtaining coverage for patients that are entitled to benefits through government entities or commercial payors.
